Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland, continued his stunning start to the new Premier League season by breaking yet another record with a goal against Brentford.Haaland scored twice in the first half in quick succession to give City a 2-1 lead.
The champions had conceded inside 22 seconds, thanks to Yoane Wissa’s header.
Haaland’s goals were his eighth and ninth of this campaign.
It also meant Haaland has broken a 13-year-old record held by former Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney.
The previous goal record in a team’s first four games in a Premier League campaign was Rooney’s eight for United in 2011/12.
Haaland had already broken the feat for most goals scored by a player in a team’s first three matches of a Premier League campaign [7] after his hat-trick against the Hammers.
