The Executive Secretary of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN), Dr. Adamu Abubakar Dabban, has been honoured with a Double Award of Excellence for his leadership, commitment to good governance and contributions to agricultural development in Nigeria.

The awards were presented to Dabban by the Nigeria Youth Initiative for Peace and Good Governance and the Northern Youth Forum for Responsive Governance.

The two youth-focused organisations recognised the ARCN Executive Secretary for what they described as his outstanding leadership, dedication to good governance and efforts towards advancing agricultural research and development in the country.

The recognition comes amid the Council’s efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s agricultural research and development ecosystem and support national priorities in food and agricultural production.

Receiving the awards, Dabban expressed appreciation to the organisations for the honour, saying the recognition would further encourage him to remain committed to the responsibilities entrusted to him and the advancement of Nigeria’s agricultural sector.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that would strengthen agricultural research and contribute to sustainable development in the country.

The double honour underscores the growing recognition of leadership and institutional efforts aimed at improving agricultural research and development in Nigeria.
