The Chairman, Committee on Works, Transport and Aviation of the Federal Character Commission, Hon. Peter Eze, on Wednesday hosted the leadership of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) during an interactive session aimed at strengthening collaboration and promoting fairness in Nigeria’s aviation sector.
The engagement, held at the headquarters of the Federal Character Commission in Abuja, brought together members of the committee and the NCAA delegation led by its Director-General, Chris O. Najomo.
Discussions during the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the commission and the aviation regulatory authority, strengthening regulatory standards within the aviation industry, and ensuring that principles of equity, inclusiveness and fairness are upheld across the sector.
The session also highlighted the need for sustained collaboration between the two institutions to ensure that national policies, particularly those relating to federal character and balanced representation, are effectively implemented in the aviation industry.
Following the interactive meeting, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, Ayo Hulayat Omidiran.
Participants at the meeting commended the leadership of the commission, noting that Omidiran’s reform-driven approach reflects a strong commitment to institutional development, accountability and progress in advancing the mandate of the commission.
