The Federal Character Commission (FCC) Committee on Works, Transport and Aviation has engaged the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) in an interactive session focused on operations, workforce distribution and compliance with the Federal Character Principle.

The meeting, held on Wednesday, brought together members of the Committee and the management of NAMA to review key issues relating to institutional balance, inclusiveness and equitable representation within the aviation sector.

The Committee was chaired by Hon. Peter Eze, Commissioner representing Enugu State, who led discussions with the NAMA delegation headed by its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Umar Ahmed Farouk.

Discussions centred on the Agency’s operational framework, staffing structure and adherence to the Federal Character Principle, with emphasis on ensuring fairness and national representation across all levels of the organisation.

Members of the Committee present at the session included the Vice Chairman, Hon. Halima Ahmadu Jabiru, Member representing Nasarawa State; Hon. Eludayo Eluyemi, Member representing Osun State; Rt. Hon. Engr. Victor Sabor Edoror, Member representing Edo State; Hon. Engr. Modu Mustapha, Member representing Borno State; and Hon. Sani General Garba, Member representing Zamfara State.

The engagement provided a platform for constructive dialogue between the Commission and NAMA, reinforcing the FCC’s mandate to promote fairness, equity, national unity and compliance with the Federal Character Principle across public institutions in the country.
