The Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Gwabin Musa joined members of the Armed Forces of Nigeria to break the Christian fast, promoting unity and camaraderie among personnel.

This initiative, part of his people-centric leadership style, aims to foster a sense of jointness and cooperation within the AFN.
The CDS emphasized the significance of sustaining this initiative, citing its potential to encourage tolerance and comradeship. He highlighted the benefits of fasting, including discipline, endurance, and closeness to God, which are essential for military regimentation.

General Musa expressed gratitude to AFN members for their sacrifices and dedication to duty despite challenging circumstances. He acknowledged the daunting tasks ahead and urged personnel to work together as a team to achieve success in various operational theaters across the nation.

Despite a notable increase in attacks, the Defence Chief assured that military efforts to combat security threats would not diminish. He charged AFN members to remain focused and committed in their mission.
The CDS also acknowledged President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s continued support for the AFN, providing necessary resources and equipment to fight against enemies of the state.
This event follows a similar initiative during the Muslim fasting period, where AFN members came together to break their fast and share moments of joy. By promoting unity and cooperation, the CDS aims to enhance the effectiveness of the AFN in achieving its objectives.
