The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede has charged students across the country to imbibe the virtues of transparency, accountability and integrity and shun all forms of corruption, economic and financial crimes.

He gave the charge in Abuja  on Thursday, March 7, 2025 when students of Redeemer Private Secondary School visited the EFCC’s corporate headquarters on a study tour.

Dele Oyewale in a statement signed Monday 10th March 2025 and made available to journalists, disclosed that the Efcc boss who was represented by the Head, Creative Communications Unit of the Public Affairs Department, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE I Chris Oluka, while addressing the students, stressed the need for transparency, honesty, truth and accountability urging them to avoid economic and financial crimes.

“Economic and financial crimes are economic problems that sabotage the economy and finance of the country, so be honest, transparent, truthful and be ready to give accounts of all you do,” he said.

Olukoyede urged the students to be good ambassadors and representatives of the Commission in their various environments through speaking the truth to their friends, classmates and the public about the ills of corruption, maintaining  that there is no gain in being corrupt.”

Head, Enlightenment and Reorientation Unit, ACE 11 Aisha Muhammed EFCC, highlighted the mandate of the EFCC and the need for them to partake in the anti-corruption campaign.

She charged them to speak up at the sight of any economic and financial crime being perpetrated around them by “saying something when they see something”.

Inspector of the EFCC and cybercrime officer, IE Eniola Kayode, charged the students on the ills of cybercrime, stressing the need to be extra careful on the internet and social media activities.
