Mrs. Bekearedebo Augusta Warrens and Mr. Sani Yargaya Aminu have officially assumed duty as Permanent Secretaries in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), taking charge of the Political & Economic Affairs Office (PEAO) and the Special Services Office (SSO) respectively.
The brief handover ceremonies were held separately at the OSGF in Abuja.
According to an official signed statement by Head, Information and Public Relations, OSGF, Chris Ugwuegbulam, the new appointees were received on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation by the Permanent Secretary, General Services Office, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana, mni.

Dr. Kana urged the new Permanent Secretaries to work harmoniously with the management team and other critical stakeholders, stressing that collaboration remains essential for the effective discharge of their statutory responsibilities and assigned mandates.
Mrs. Warrens, in her remarks, pledged to work closely with staff of the Political & Economic Affairs Office to strengthen the monitoring, analysis, and coordination of government policies on political and economic matters. She commended the Director overseeing the office, Mr. Abia Efiok, for sustaining operations pending her appointment and assured staff of her commitment to diligence, professionalism, and national development.
On his part, Mr. Aminu assured staff of the Special Services Office of his readiness to discharge his responsibilities with diligence, integrity, and loyalty to the nation. He called for the support and cooperation of staff in the formulation, coordination, and implementation of government security policies, while also pledging effective collaboration with relevant stakeholders to achieve the office’s objectives.
In their farewell remarks, the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Special Services Office, Mohammed Sanusi Danjuma, alongside Mr. Efiok, expressed appreciation to the management and staff for the support they received during their stewardship. They also urged staff to extend the same cooperation to the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries.
