In a kind gesture, Corps Camp Directors at Kano Orientation Camp presented a brand new wheelchair to a colleague who is a person living with disability.

Corps Members Oyeniyi Kudus, KN/24C/2988, Sangonuga Saidat Olorire, KN/24C/2525 and Olunuga David Oluwatobi KN/24C/2679 during the presentation explained that the gesture was motivated by a desire to support their colleague Ugwuese Emelda, KN/24C/3283, who faced mobility challenges within the camp.

Overwhelmed with joy, Ugwuese Emelda, the recipient, a Public Administration graduate from Federal Polytechnic, Oko, and an indigene of Enugu State, thanked her colleagues for their kindness.

Similarly, the Director General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General YD Ahmed lauded the donors for being compassionate with the welfare of their colleague who they met, just a few days into the Orientation Exercise.

He encouraged other Corps Members to follow the exemplary lead of the three Corps Camp Directors by showing kindness and adding value to those in need, emphasizing that every gift, no matter how small or big, counts.
