Tinubu Appoints Ganduje, Afikuyomi, Prof Akinyemi, Dayo Israel, Felix Morka, Others as Board Chairpersons Of Parastatals, Agencies

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of board chairpersons for 42 federal agencies and a secretary for the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services Board.

According to Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the appointments take immediate effect.

Notable among the appointees is the former Governor of Kano State and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who was named chairman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

Other notable names appointed by President Tinubu include Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi, who takes over as Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, and Senator Magnus Abe, appointed as Chairman of the National Agency for Great Green Wall.

Dr. Kayode Isiak Opeifa assumes the role of Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, while Raji Kazeem Kolawole has been appointed as the Director-General of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI).

President Tinubu noted that the roles of board chairpersons are non-executive and cautioned against interference in the management of their respective organisations.
