The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have agreed to establish a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing professionalism, capacity development and institutional excellence within the Corps.

According to an official statement signed by the Corps Public Education Officer, FRSC, Deputy Corps Commander Osondu Ohaeri, the agreement was reached during a courtesy visit by the President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Dr. Ike Neliaku, fnipr, and a high-powered delegation of the Institute to the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, mni, at the FRSC National Headquarters in Abuja.

During the visit, Dr. Neliaku commended the Federal Road Safety Corps for its remarkable institutional transformation, particularly the significant progress recorded in the digitisation of its operations.

He described the achievements as a demonstration of visionary leadership, innovation and commitment to service excellence, while praising the Corps Marshal for implementing reforms that have improved operational efficiency, enhanced service delivery and strengthened the reputation of the Corps.

The NIPR President reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to partnering with the FRSC in the areas of professional training, executive development and capacity building to further support the Corps’ ongoing transformation agenda.

Responding, the Corps Marshal expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Institute for recognising the Corps’ achievements and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to professionalism, continuous learning and strategic communication.

Shehu Mohammed noted that the proposed collaboration represents a strategic investment in human capital that will equip FRSC personnel with the knowledge, skills and ethical orientation required to meet the changing demands of public service.

At the end of the meeting, both organisations agreed to develop a framework for sustained collaboration, with emphasis on staff training, professional certification, knowledge exchange and other mutually beneficial initiatives.

The partnership is expected to strengthen institutional capacity, promote workforce development and further entrench professionalism as a cornerstone of effective service delivery within the Federal Road Safety Corps.
