The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has approved Thursday, July 9, 2026, as the official passing-out date for members of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream One Corps Members across the country.
According to an official signed statement by the Director, Information and Public Relations, NYSC, Caroline W. Embu, the management of the Scheme has concluded arrangements for the winding-up and passing-out exercise, which will be conducted nationwide.
The statement disclosed that activities leading to the passing-out ceremony commenced on June 23, 2026, and include Job Advisory and Counselling (JAC) programmes organized by the NYSC in collaboration with relevant agencies, registration and clearance of corps members by Local Government Inspectors (LGIs), as well as the signing of final clearance documents by Zonal Inspectors.
The NYSC stated that the low-key passing-out exercise will be held in all Local Government Areas across the country, where Certificates of National Service will be issued to deserving corps members who have successfully completed their mandatory national service.
Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated the outgoing corps members on the successful completion of their service year and wished them a smooth winding-up and passing-out exercise.
He also urged them to remain guided by the core values of the Scheme as they transition into the next phase of their lives, emphasizing the need for them to continue serving as worthy ambassadors of the NYSC wherever they may find themselves.
The passing-out ceremony will officially mark the completion of the national service year for thousands of corps members deployed under the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream One across the federation.
