The Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Arc. Sonny Echono, has reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to addressing insecurity across Nigeria and creating an enabling environment for sustainable socio-economic development. In an official signed statement, Abu, I. Michael, for Ai’Ekpa Family of Odugbo-Ochekwu disclosed that Speaking at the burial ceremony of the Chief Minister of Odugbo, (A’adu Odugbo) Igbene Enogela held at Odugbo-Ochekwu in Apa Local Government Area of Benue State on Friday, May 29, 2026, Arc. Echono, one of the respected sons and a shinning light of the area, assured the people of Odugbo and the wider Apa community that the insecurity currently affecting the area and other parts of the local government would soon be overcome through the concerted efforts of the Federal Government and security agencies.
He emphasized that the administration of President Tinubu remains committed to restoring peace, safeguarding lives and property, and promoting rapid development across all parts of the country.
Arc. Echono urged the people of Odugbo to remain steadfast, united, and supportive of the government’s efforts, noting that lasting peace and progress require the cooperation of all stakeholders.
According to him, the people should continue to keep faith with President Tinubu’s leadership and vision for a secure, prosperous, and united Nigeria.
The burial ceremony attracted dignitaries, community leaders, traditional rulers, family members, and well-wishers who gathered to pay their final respects to the late Chief Minister, A’aduOdugbo, a position next only to the paramount chief, Ejila.
Pa Enogela who was the head of the Ai’ Ekpa Family survived by four daughters all married, and Honourable Sunday Igbene his only surviving son, Special Assistant to the TETFUND ES, and one time Personal Assistant to the Secretary of theGovernment of Benue State. He is also survived by a wife and many grand children.
