The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) is set to arraign former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, before both federal and state courts over allegations bordering on corruption and abuse of office.

In a statement issued by the Head of Media and Public Communications, John Okor Odey, the commission disclosed that El-Rufa’i, alongside one Joel Adoga, will be arraigned at the Federal High Court of Nigeria on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. The case, marked FHC/KD/73/2026, contains charges ranging from conversion and possession of public property to money laundering.

According to the commission, a separate charge has also been filed against El-Rufa’i and one Amadu Sule (LEDA) before the Kaduna State High Court. The suit, with charge number KDH/KAD/ICPC/01/26, includes allegations of abuse of office, fraud, intent to commit fraud, and conferring undue advantage.

The ICPC stated that both cases were filed on March 18, 2026, adding that the date for arraignment at the State High Court will be communicated in due course as determined by the court.

“The commission wishes to inform the public that Mallam Nasir El-Rufa’i has been duly served,” the statement read, while reiterating its commitment to due process and strict adherence to the rule of law.
