The Nigeria Police Force has commenced the physical and credential screening for applicants in the ongoing police recruitment in Nasarawa State, with Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, issuing a strong warning against fraudulent activities. The exercise is being held at the Nasarawa State Police Officers’ Mess on Jos Road, Lafia, and is scheduled to run from Monday, 9 March 2026, through Saturday, 18 April 2026, daily from 7:00am to 5:00pm.
In an official statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, Nasarawa State Command, SP Ramhan Nansel, disclosed that applicants are expected to adhere strictly to the dress code of plain white T-shirts, white shorts, and white canvas shoes throughout the screening process. Each applicant must also present all required documents, including invitation slips, proof of origin, evidence of physical and mental fitness, certificates of good character, National Identification Number slips, and original and duplicate copies of academic and professional credentials. Those who fail to present these documents will not be considered.
CP Shetima emphasized that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge, urging applicants to remain vigilant against criminal elements who may attempt to exploit unsuspecting candidates through fraudulent recruitment schemes. He warned that anyone caught engaging in recruitment-related fraud or misconduct would be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
The Commissioner assured the public that the recruitment exercise will be conducted in a transparent, merit-based, and credible manner, underscoring the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to upholding integrity and fairness in the selection of new personnel.
