By Nkechi Eze

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, CON, has announced the postponement of the scheduled meeting with Secretaries to the State Governments (SSGs), earlier planned to hold on July 15th and 16th, 2025, in Jos, Plateau State.

The decision, according to an official statement signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Segun Imohiosen, is in honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, whose passing on Sunday has plunged the nation into mourning.

The SGF noted that the postponement is in observance of the state burial and the national mourning period declared by the Federal Government to pay final respects to the departed elder statesman and former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

A new date for the meeting will be announced in due course. The statement concluded.
