Police Crackdown: Suspect Arrested with Ammunition in Nasarawa

In line with the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Shettima Jauro Mohammed, for sustained raids on all criminal hideouts across the state, police operatives attached to Masaka Division carried out a successful operation at a known black spot, popularly called “Me and You”, in the Masaka area of Karu LGA, on April 25, 2025, at about 2230hrs.SP Ramhan Nansel, the police public relations officer, Nasarawa state police command in an official signed statement, disclosed that d

uring the operation, one Buhari Mustapha, male, 25 years old, from Katsina State, was apprehended. A thorough search conducted on the suspect led to the recovery of an English-made Beretta pistol with breech number APL-C42201378075, along with twelve (12) rounds of 9mm live ammunition, all of which have been taken as exhibits.

The Commissioner of Police has ordered a full investigation into the case, with the aim of apprehending other criminal elements and further curbing crime within the area and the state at large.

The CP commended the officers for their dedication and consistent pressure on criminal elements and urged them to sustain the momentum in the fight against crime.
