The Nigerian Army has issued a public warning regarding a fake online advertisement claiming that the “Nigerian Army DSSC/SSC Application Form 2025” is currently available. The Army, through Lt. Col. Appolonia Anele, Acting Director, Directorate of Army Public Relations in an official signed statement, has clarified that this claim is entirely false and misleading, and no recruitment or commissioning exercise for Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) or Short Service Commission (SSC) is currently ongoing.

The Nigerian Army emphasized that whenever recruitment exercises are scheduled to begin, the public will be informed through official channels with adequate publicity. The Army warns the public to be cautious and avoid falling prey to fraudsters who exploit fake information to deceive and defraud unsuspecting individuals.

Members of the public are advised to disregard the fake advertisement and be vigilant. Anyone with information about such fraudulent activities or individuals should promptly report to the appropriate authorities for necessary action.

The Nigerian Army remains committed to keeping the public informed about genuine recruitment exercises through official channels.
