The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed it is investigating a sexual assault complaint filed by Ebunoluwa Mitchell Fatoyinbo against one Oscar Ilochi, a resident of the Apo Legislative Quarters in Abuja.

This clarification comes in response to a viral social media report suggesting that the case involves a sister of Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The police have, however, made no such connection and cautioned the public against spreading unverified information.

In a statement released by Josephine Adeh, Command’s spokesperson, the police emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and urged both media outlets and individuals to avoid speculative or misleading narratives.

“The Command advises members of the public, particularly media practitioners and social media commentators, to exercise caution and ensure due diligence in verifying facts before disseminating information,” the statement read.

For accurate updates, the public is advised to contact the FCT Police Command’s Public Relations Officer on 07038979348.
