Comptroller Iheanacho Ernest Ojike, the Customs Area Controller of Kebbi Command, paid a charity visit to Gwandu Emirates Primary School in Kebbi State on Tuesday, spreading kindness and generosity to the future leaders.

A press statement made available to the media by Mohammed Tajuddeen Salisu, Superintend of Customs and Public Relations Officer, Kebbi Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service signed on Tuesday, for the Customs Area Controller,

The Controller donated writing materials such as books, pencils, biros, and foodstuffs to over 1,700 pupils of the famous Gwandu Emirate Model Primary School, Birnin Kebbi in Kebbi State.

During the session, he emphasized that the charity visit to the school was meant to interact with the pupils to highlight the mandate of Customs as provisioned by the Federal Government’s constitution and draw their attention to the need for them to understand the laws of the land and contribution of Customs to the national economy.

He further stressed the need for the pupils to understand the effect of smuggling on the national economy and why Nigerians should not indulge in such nefarious acts.

Malam Aminu Sani, the Headmaster accepted the donations and described the gesture as a form of support to the pupils.

Sani commended the Nigeria Customs Service for its compassionate and responsible approach. Additionally, Alhaji Ibrahim Bashir KKB Galadiman Gwandu, representing the Emirates Council, conveyed the Emir of Gwandu’s heartfelt appreciation and blessings to the Controller and his team for their kind gesture.
