The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd) has felicitated the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, (Iyan Zazzau), on the occasion of his 61st birthday, describing him as a committed partner in nation-building.
According to an official statement signed by Leah Katung-Babatunde, Special Adviser (Media) to the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Musa extended the felicitations on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces of Nigeria and the entire defence sector.
The Minister commended Abbas for his legislative leadership, describing him as an exceptional lawmaker and visionary statesman whose stewardship of the 10th House of Representatives has contributed to legislative productivity, stability and democratic harmony.
General Musa also acknowledged the Speaker’s support for national peace and security, noting his efforts toward strengthening Nigeria’s security framework and advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government.
“Your selfless service, humility, deep intellect, and dedication to the progress of our nation continue to define your legislative leadership. Under your guidance, the House of Representatives remains a vital pillar in promoting good governance and national stability,” the Minister said.
He expressed confidence in the continued collaboration between the legislature and the defence sector in addressing the country’s security challenges and advancing national development.
