The Nigeria Police Force has arraigned three suspects, George Ali, Anthony Ali and Simon Ali, before the Federal High Court in Abuja over alleged criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust and obtaining by false pretences involving $100,000.
According to a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, the suspects were arraigned by operatives of the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB), Abuja, following an investigation into the alleged diversion of funds meant for the purchase and shipment of auto spare parts from the United States.
The Police said preliminary investigations revealed that the complainant allegedly transferred the sum of $100,000 to the suspects in 2009 for the purchase and shipment of the auto spare parts.
It was alleged that the transaction was not executed as agreed, with the funds subsequently diverted by the suspects.
Following investigations by INTERPOL NCB Abuja, the three suspects were brought before the Federal High Court, Court 6, Maitama, Abuja, where they were arraigned over the alleged offences.
The case was subsequently adjourned to December 3, 2026, for further hearing.
The Nigeria Police Force reaffirmed its commitment to the diligent investigation of financial crimes and other offences, stressing that suspects would be brought before the appropriate judicial authorities in accordance with the law.
