Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume has congratulated his predecessor, Boss Mustapha on his 70th birthday, describing him as a distinguished statesman, patriot and man of immense wisdom.
Akume, in a congratulatory message, praised Mustapha’s contributions to governance and national development during his tenure as Secretary to the Government of the Federation from 2017 to 2023.
According to an official statement signed by Chris Ugwuegbulam, Head, Information and Public Relations Department, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Akume said Mustapha’s tenure was characterised by dedication, stability and selfless service to Nigeria.
“On behalf of my family, the staff and management of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, I join millions of Nigerians in celebrating a great leader and mentor.
“Boss Mustapha served our country with distinction during very challenging times, and his calm disposition, administrative competence, and commitment to national unity remain worthy of emulation,” Akume stated.
The SGF noted that Mustapha’s legacy of service continued to inspire current and future public servants, adding that his contributions to governance and nation-building would remain a significant part of the country’s public service history.
Akume also prayed for the former SGF to be blessed with many more years of good health, sound mind, joy and fulfilment as he continued his service to humanity.
Mustapha served as SGF under the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari between 2017 and 2023.
