The All Support Groups Network (ASGN) has launched a nationwide grassroots mobilisation campaign with a target of securing 27 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside the unveiling of an illustrated publication highlighting the administration’s achievements over the past three years.
The campaign was unveiled on Thursday during a joint press conference organised by the ASGN and The Progressive Institute (TPI) in Abuja, where both organisations said the initiative is aimed at strengthening public support for the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of future political engagements.
Speaking at the event, the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of The Progressive Institute said the campaign was more than a political exercise, describing it as a nationwide movement designed to showcase the administration’s record in governance while expanding grassroots participation.
He said the Tinubu administration has recorded notable strides in economic reforms, infrastructure development, social investment programmes and efforts to stabilise the economy over the last three years.
According to him, the newly unveiled illustrated publication and a forthcoming commemorative book were produced to document the administration’s milestones and provide Nigerians with a visual account of key government projects and policies.
The TPI Director-General said the mobilisation drive would rely on six partner organisations with nationwide structures. They include the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN), Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN), Sugarcane Farmers and Producers Association of Nigeria (SUFAPAN), the Gold Miners, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria, and the Cooperative Federation of Nigeria.
He expressed confidence that the extensive membership of the organisations would make it possible to reach communities across the country and thanked the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, for supporting the initiative.
Also addressing journalists, ASGN National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer, Alhaji Murtala Bala Ibrahim, said the coalition was intensifying grassroots engagement to educate Nigerians on what it described as the achievements of the Tinubu administration during its first 36 months in office.
He said the coalition’s target of 27 million votes was based on the combined membership and nationwide presence of its partner organisations, adding that support groups would embark on sustained community engagement across wards, farming settlements and marketplaces.
Ibrahim also acknowledged the contributions of Senator George Akume and the President’s Political Adviser, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, for their support and guidance, expressing optimism that the APC would continue to enjoy strong grassroots backing.
The event attracted APC stakeholders, leaders of the participating organisations, members of the All Support Groups Network, officials of The Progressive Institute and journalists. It also featured the public unveiling of the illustrated achievements publication and the pre-launch of a commemorative book documenting President Tinubu’s first three years in office.
