The Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc (+), has reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Nigerian Correctional Service to enhance security and the administration of justice in the state.
According to an official statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Command, SP Nafiu Abubakar, the Commissioner gave the assurance while receiving the newly deployed Controller of Corrections, Bauchi State Command, CC S.T. Atoyebi, during a courtesy visit to the Police Command Headquarters on Yandoka Road, Bauchi, on Thursday.
The statement noted that the visit formed part of the Controller’s familiarisation tour of heads of security agencies in the state following his recent deployment.
While welcoming the Controller and his delegation, CP Sani-Omolori described the visit as timely and strategic, stressing that effective inter-agency collaboration remains vital to maintaining peace, security and efficient service delivery across Bauchi State.
He assured the Nigerian Correctional Service of the Police Command’s continued support and cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly intelligence sharing, custodial security and the smooth administration of criminal justice.
In his remarks, CC Atoyebi expressed appreciation to the Commissioner for the warm reception and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening synergy between the Nigerian Correctional Service and other security agencies, especially the Nigeria Police Force, to improve public safety and sustain the existing cordial working relationship in the state.
The statement added that both security chiefs pledged to sustain regular consultations and joint operational efforts aimed at combating crime and ensuring a safer Bauchi State.
