The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reinforced its commitment to regional security and defence cooperation with the graduation of 20 officers of the Ghana Armed Forces from the Initial Personnel and Administrative Management Officers’ Course (IPAMOC) 32/2026 at the Nigerian Air Force Institute of Administrative Management (NAFIAM).
According to an official statement signed by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the six-month course culminated in the graduation of 18 officers of the Ghana Air Force and two officers of the Ghana Navy, highlighting the NAF’s growing reputation as a regional centre of excellence for professional military education and capacity development.
The statement noted that the training initiative aligns with the Command Philosophy of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, which emphasises “Standardising Training and Mission-Focused Capability” as a key driver of operational effectiveness through quality training and collaborative engagement.
Representing the CAS at the graduation ceremony held on 3 July 2026, the Air Officer Commanding Ground Training Command, Air Vice Marshal Gabriel Kehinde, described the graduation as another milestone in NAFIAM’s consistent delivery of world-class professional military education.
He explained that the comprehensive programme, which featured lectures, presentations, research projects, study tours and practical exercises, equipped the officers with the leadership, analytical and administrative competencies required to excel in personnel and administrative appointments within their respective services.
Air Vice Marshal Kehinde urged the graduands to deploy the knowledge acquired during the course to improve service delivery while upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and discipline.
He also commended the Chief of the Air Staff for his unwavering commitment to human capacity development, noting that sustained investment in training has continued to strengthen the operational capability of the Nigerian Air Force while creating valuable professional military education opportunities for allied nations.
Earlier, the Commandant of NAFIAM, Air Commodore Isaiah Taiwo, expressed confidence that the graduating officers had acquired the knowledge and practical skills needed to make meaningful contributions to operational effectiveness upon their return to the Ghana Armed Forces.
He reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to maintaining excellence in professional military education in line with the Chief of the Air Staff’s Command Philosophy and appreciated the continued support of the CAS, the Air Officer Commanding Ground Training Command, the Ghana Defence Attaché and other stakeholders whose collaboration has contributed to the institute’s success.
The graduation, the statement added, further demonstrates the Nigerian Air Force’s expanding role in strengthening regional defence partnerships, enhancing interoperability among allied armed forces and building the collective capacity required to promote lasting peace, stability and security across West Africa.
