The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone One Headquarters, Kano, AIG Garba Ahmed, has conducted a comprehensive security assessment of the Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, as part of the Inspector-General of Police’s directive to strengthen security at police training institutions across the country.
According to an official statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Zone One Headquarters, Kano, DSP Abdullahi Hussaini, the assessment was carried out in compliance with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, on enhancing the security of police training institutions nationwide.
The statement said AIG Ahmed inspected the Academy’s security architecture, reviewed existing security measures, and directed the reinforcement of critical security deployments to boost operational readiness and ensure the continued safety and security of the institution.
During the visit, the AIG charged police officers and other security personnel on duty to remain vigilant, uphold the highest standards of professionalism, and sustain proactive policing through constant alertness in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to providing a safe and secure environment for learning, training, and other operational activities across all police training institutions in the country.
