The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, on Tuesday attended the 4th UK–Nigeria Security and Defence Partnership Dialogue held at the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) in Abuja, alongside other Service Chiefs and senior security officials.
The high-level engagement brought together top security and defence representatives from Nigeria and the United Kingdom to deliberate on critical areas of mutual interest, including counter-terrorism efforts, intelligence sharing, capacity building, and other collaborative initiatives aimed at addressing emerging and evolving security threats.
The dialogue provided a strategic platform for both countries to review existing areas of cooperation and explore new opportunities for strengthening bilateral security relations in the face of complex regional and global security challenges.
The meeting underscored the commitment of Nigeria and the United Kingdom to deepening strategic partnerships and enhancing cooperation in promoting regional stability, national security, and sustainable peace through coordinated security and defence initiatives.
