The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, has extended warm Eid-il-Kabir greetings to Muslim faithful across Nigeria, urging citizens to embrace compassion, sacrifice, and support for vulnerable members of society during the festive period.

In an official signed statement, the Director General noted that the lessons of Eid-il-Kabir strongly align with the humanitarian mandate of the agency in saving lives, reducing suffering, and supporting communities affected by emergencies and disasters.

According to the statement, the festival’s message of selflessness and compassion should inspire Nigerians to strengthen unity, care for one another, and extend assistance to those in need.

“As we celebrate, let’s carry this spirit forward by looking out for the vulnerable and strengthening one another,” the statement read.

The NEMA Director General further prayed for Allah to accept the sacrifices of the faithful and continue to bless Nigeria with peace, safety, and prosperity.
