The Telecommunications Regulatory Board (ART) of Cameroon has sought strategic support from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to strengthen Cameroon’s telecom regulatory framework and improve service delivery.
A delegation led by ART Director-General, Philemon Zoo Zame, visited the NCC headquarters in Abuja for a benchmarking exercise focused on Nigeria’s regulatory successes and best practices in the telecommunications sector.
The visit also featured the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at deepening technical cooperation and institutional collaboration between both countries.
Under the partnership, Cameroon is expected to leverage the NCC’s expertise in areas such as Quality of Service, Mobile Number Portability, Consumer Protection, and passive infrastructure regulation.
The development further reinforces the NCC’s growing reputation as a leading telecom regulator in Africa and highlights Nigeria’s increasing role in shaping telecommunications governance across the continent.
