He noted that preparations are already underway for a series of by-elections and other off-cycle polls ahead of the 2027 General Election.
According to him, these interim elections will serve as critical test runs to evaluate and strengthen operational readiness for the Presidential and National Assembly elections slated for January 2027, as well as the Governorship and State Assembly polls scheduled for February of the same year.
He encouraged the new National Commissioner to actively engage in the Commission’s work, collaborate with colleagues, and leverage INEC’s institutional experience to support the delivery of credible, transparent, and inclusive elections.
