The General Manager of the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Agency, Prince Ifalade Ajasa Oyekan, has called for enhanced collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force to advance community policing initiatives, reaffirming Lagos State’s readiness for state policing.
Prince Oyekan made the appeal during a courtesy visit to the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja. The visit provided a platform to discuss strategies for improving security, protecting lives, and safeguarding property across Lagos State and other parts of the country.
In response, IGP Disu assured the LNSA leadership of the Police Force’s commitment to supporting the Agency. He emphasized the importance of close collaboration between federal and state security structures to enhance operational effectiveness and strengthen community policing across the nation.
The engagement highlights Lagos State’s ongoing push for state policing, with both the LNSA and the Nigeria Police Force aligning on efforts to improve public safety and security management at the community level.
