The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd.), OFR, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Brigadier General M. Uba, who was killed in November by ISWAP terrorists in an attack that drew widespread national grief and condemnation.

During the visit, the Minister described the fallen senior officer as a courageous and selfless patriot whose loyalty to Nigeria remained unshaken until his final moments. He said Brigadier General Uba’s sacrifice would forever be remembered as a symbol of steadfast commitment to national security.

General Musa used the occasion to reaffirm the Federal Government’s resolve to intensify the fight against terrorism and all forms of insecurity threatening the peace and stability of the country. He assured the bereaved family that the nation stands with them and that their loved one did not die in vain.

The late Brigadier General M. Uba’s death has continued to evoke strong emotions across the country, with many Nigerians calling for sustained military pressure on terrorist groups and improved protection for frontline troops.
