Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in a coordinated offensive backed by the Air Component Command, have neutralized 12 fighters of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) and recovered a cache of arms, ammunition, and medical supplies in Borno State.

The successful operation, conducted between 29 and 30 August 2025, was supported by local security outfits and involved long-range commando maneuvers guided by intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) from the Nigerian Air Force.

During the clearance operations, the troops swept through Tamsu Ngamdu, Dalakaleri, and Gaza, dislodging terrorist activities in the areas. At Loskori Kura, soldiers encountered a group of insurgents, leading to a fierce gun battle in which 12 terrorists were neutralized.

Items recovered from the operation include eight AK-47 rifles, eight loaded magazines of 7.62mm ammunition, as well as assorted drugs and medical supplies believed to be stockpiled by the terrorists.

Military authorities commended the gallantry and resilience of the troops, noting that their renewed vigour has further degraded the capacity of insurgents in the North East. The Theatre Command has also been urged to sustain the momentum and intensify the onslaught against terrorist enclaves.
