…as HRH Oba Lasisi Akano Oladimeji, the Onijaye of Ijaye land, Urges Chief Afolabi to Sustain Momentum in Driving Positive Change in Ijaye

The Governing Board, Advisory Council and Staff of Noble Brains Academy, Ilorin, felicitate with our Member of the Governing Board, Chief Ayodele Afo Afolabi, on his installation ceremony as Otun Basorun Ijaye of Ijaye town in Akinyele Local Government area of Oyo state.

A signed statement by Abubakar Jimoh, a member of the board, Noble Brains Academy, disclosed that the prestigious title comes in recognition of his genuine passion and dedication towards community development, infrastructural provisions and philanthropy services.

The statement further revealed that Chief Afolabi has leveraged his positions and international connections in accelerating development of Ijaye town.

Speaking at the installation ceremony, the Onijaye of Ijaye land, His Royal Highness, Oba Lasisi Akano Oladimeji, charged Chief Afolabi to never relent in accelerating positive indelible mark in Ijaye land and always be mindful of anything that could ridicule his new chieftaincy title and Ijaye town.

The monarch urged chief Afolabi to work harmoniously with other chiefs and join hands with other prominent sons and daughters of Ijaye land to form a formidable force that would bring rapid growth to the ancient town.

Similarly, the Alakinyele of Akinyele Land, Oba Dr. James Odeniran, urged the newly installed Otun Basorun of Ijaye to use his influence and exposure to attract basic amenities to Ijaye town.

He noted that notable warriors of Yoruba land in the past such as “Kunrunmi” came out from Ijaye but the town has not witnessed necessary infrastructural development.

“Ijaye has existed before many developed towns around Ibadan, we want its illustrious sons and daughters to come back home to develop their place of origin, “he said.

The event featured a prayer session, decoration of chief Afolabi and presentation of certificate among others.

Prior to his installation as Otun Basorun of Ijaye, Chief Afolabi bagged Human Resource Management with Honours from the University of the West of Scotland United Kingdom.

Apart from serving as Member of the Governing Board of Noble Brains Academy, he has worked in several organisations both in private and public sector within and outside Nigeria.

Chief Afola is presently an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of personal Development CIPD and also a Committee member of the CIPD North Ayrshire Geographical area in United Kingdom.

He was elected into the position of a Non-Executive Director in March 2017 to the Renfrewshire Wide Credit Union Board of Directors in Paisley United Kingdom, where he still serving as a Board member.
