IGP Kayode Egbetokun has decorated DIG Jonathan Towuru with his new rank at the Police Force Headquarters in Abuja. This ceremony took place on January 22, 2025. Following his promotion, DIG Towuru has been redeployed to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) to boost the department’s efficiency and effectiveness in policing the country.
DIG Towuru’s promotion and posting to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) is a well-deserved recognition of his dedication and exemplary service to the police force. With his extensive experience in various capacities, he is uniquely positioned to lead the FCID in enhancing its capabilities to tackle complex criminal investigations and improve crime management nationwide. This strategic move comes at a critical time, as the FCID works to refine its approach to criminal investigations and meet the evolving security needs of the country.
Additionally, the IGP has announced the deployment of CP Miller Gajere Dantawaye and CP Betty Enekpen Otimenyin as the Commissioners of Police, Kogi State and Edo State respectively. These appointments aims to bolster security efforts, maintain public order, and ensure effective policing across the country.
