The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin (Rtd) has celebrated the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu on her birthday, commending her commitment to supporting vulnerable Nigerians and empowering women and youths across the country.
According to an official statement signed by Leah Katung-Babatunde, Special Adviser (Media) to the Minister of Defence, General Musa, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces of Nigeria and his family, extended warm felicitations and congratulations to the First Lady on the occasion.
The Minister described Senator Tinubu as a beacon of hope, grace and compassion, noting that her humanitarian interventions and social welfare initiatives through the Renewed Hope Initiative had impacted vulnerable communities across the country.
General Musa particularly commended her efforts to empower women and youths and her advocacy for social welfare, saying her contributions had made a significant impact on Nigeria’s socio-economic landscape.
He also praised the First Lady’s support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as her advocacy for peace and national unity.
The Minister further acknowledged Senator Tinubu’s support for the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families, particularly her encouragement of personnel serving on the frontlines of the nation’s security operations.
“Her Excellency’s commitment to uplifting vulnerable communities, empowering women and youths, and championing social welfare through the Renewed Hope Initiative has left a profound impact on our country’s socio-economic landscape,” General Musa stated.
He described her motherly guidance, wisdom and selfless advocacy for peace and national unity as valuable to the nation.
General Musa prayed that Almighty God would grant the First Lady robust health, long life, divine wisdom and renewed strength to continue her service to humanity and support the President in advancing peace, security and prosperity in Nigeria.
He said the Ministry of Defence joins the First Family, friends, well-wishers and Nigerians in celebrating Senator Tinubu and wishing her a memorable birthday and many more years of impactful service to humanity.
