Post-Service Housing Development Limited (PHDL) has witnessed a leadership transition with Major General Kevin Ukandu assuming office as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Major General Isaiah Allison.
According to an official signed statement by the Acting Public Relations Officer, Post-Service Housing Development Limited, Lieutenant Augustina Nkeonye, the formal handover ceremony took place on Monday, 13 July 2026, at the PHDL Corporate Headquarters in Asokoro, Abuja.
In his farewell remarks, Major General Allison expressed appreciation to the officers, soldiers and civilian staff of PHDL for their loyalty, dedication and unwavering support during his tenure. He urged them to extend the same cooperation to his successor, emphasizing that unity, professionalism and commitment remain vital to sustaining the Company’s growth and achieving its mandate.
Taking over the leadership of the Company, Major General Ukandu commended his predecessor for his visionary leadership and significant contributions to the development of PHDL. He pledged to consolidate on the achievements recorded under Major General Allison by providing purposeful leadership that aligns with the vision of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu.
The new Managing Director also reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening PHDL’s capacity to provide affordable, quality housing for officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army, in line with the Company’s welfare mandate.
The handover ceremony was attended by former Managing Directors of PHDL, members of the management team, joint venture partners, business associates and staff of the Company. The event underscored PHDL’s commitment to continuity in leadership and the delivery of its mandate in support of the welfare objectives of the Chief of Army Staff.
