The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has debunked a message currently circulating on social media, describing it as fake and urging members of the public to disregard its contents.

According to an official statement by the Service, the circulating content did not originate from the Nigeria Customs Service and does not represent its official position.

The Service cautioned the public against relying on unverified information shared on social media, stressing that only updates released through its official communication channels should be regarded as authentic.

The NCS advised members of the public to obtain accurate and credible information through its verified platforms, including its official Facebook page, Instagram, TikTok, Threads and X handles (@customsng), as well as its official website, www.customs.gov.ng.

The Service reaffirmed its commitment to providing timely, factual and reliable information to the public through its recognised communication channels.
