The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has alerted the public to an unauthorized breach of its official website by suspected hackers, warning Nigerians to disregard any suspicious messages or fraudulent information that may emanate from the compromised platform.

According to an official statement issued by the Agency, NEMA disclosed that immediate technical measures were being implemented to contain the breach, secure the affected platform, and restore normal operations.

The Agency cautioned members of the public against engaging with any misleading information, unauthorized announcements, or fraudulent requests for money that may appear on the website or be circulated through related communication channels during the period of the breach.

NEMA expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the incident and assured Nigerians that efforts were ongoing to resolve the issue promptly while strengthening the security architecture of its digital platforms to prevent future occurrences.
