The Nigerian Air Force has intensified its counter-terrorism operations with a successful air interdiction strike that destroyed terrorist structures and logistics hubs in the Mandara Mountains.
According to an official signed statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the NAF, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operation was carried out on April 27, 2026, by the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI at Guduf, a known terrorist enclave in the mountainous region.
The statement disclosed that the strike followed credible intelligence and confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance missions, which identified active terrorist infrastructure supporting insurgent operations within the area.
NAF air assets subsequently executed a coordinated strike, targeting multiple structures and neutralising hostile elements with precision. The operation led to the destruction of key logistics hubs and significantly degraded the operational capabilities of the insurgents.
The Air Force noted that the mission was conducted with strict adherence to rules of engagement, ensuring the protection of civilians and the surrounding environment.
The development underscores the sustained momentum of ongoing military efforts to dismantle terrorist networks, deny them freedom of action, and reinforce national security across the North-East theatre.
