A member of the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, Aare Durotolu Oyebode Bankole, has congratulated Solomon Olamilekan Adeola on his emergence as the consensus governorship flag bearer of the party in Ogun State ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.

Bankole, in a statement he signed, described the adoption of Adeola popularly known as Yayi as a clear reflection of the confidence reposed in him by party leaders and stakeholders across the state.

According to Bankole, the emergence of Adeola as the party’s candidate is a testament to his leadership qualities, extensive experience and commitment to the development of Ogun State.

“Senator Adeola’s adoption as the party’s candidate is a testament to his proven leadership, vast experience, and unwavering commitment to the progress and development of Ogun State,” he said.

Adeola currently represents Ogun West Senatorial District in the Senate and is widely known for his background as a chartered accountant and experienced public servant.

Bankole expressed confidence that the senator possesses the vision, capacity and integrity required to build on existing achievements and further advance the state’s development.

“As a distinguished senator representing Ogun West, a chartered accountant of repute, and a seasoned public servant with a track record of effective representation and service delivery, I am confident that Senator Yayi possesses the vision, capacity and integrity to build on the existing foundations and take Ogun State to greater heights of prosperity,” he stated.

He also noted that the senator’s emergence enjoys overwhelming support from stakeholders within the party and expressed optimism that Adeola would emerge victorious in the 2027 gubernatorial election.

The APC chieftain further commended the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, for what he described as exemplary leadership and for fostering unity within the party in the state.

“Under his watch, the APC in Ogun State has witnessed unprecedented peace, unity and cohesion. His administration has set the pace for sustainable progress and prosperity across the state through deliberate investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture and youth empowerment,” Bankole said.

He added that the governor’s inclusive leadership style had strengthened the party and positioned Ogun State as a model of good governance in Nigeria.

Bankole also praised party stakeholders, including former governors, elder statesmen and party leaders in Ogun State, for demonstrating maturity and patriotism in reaching a consensus on the governorship candidate.

According to him, the collective decision reflects the strength and unity within the party as it prepares for the 2027 election cycle.

“This unity of purpose demonstrates the strength and maturity of our great party in Ogun State and sends a strong signal of our readiness for victory in 2027,” he added.

He also commended the people of Ogun State for their continued support for the APC and its development agenda, assuring that the party remains committed to sustaining the state’s progress.

Bankole therefore urged party members and supporters across the state to rally behind Adeola to ensure victory at the polls and to consolidate the party’s achievements in the state.

“As we move forward, I urge all party members and supporters to rally solidly behind Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola to ensure a resounding victory that will further entrench the ideals of our party and deliver even greater dividends of democracy to the people of Ogun State,” he said.
