The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has extended Easter greetings to Christians across Nigeria, urging citizens to embrace unity, hope, and a collective commitment to national development.
In his Easter message, Umahi described the season as a sacred period that reflects the enduring values of sacrifice, renewal, and the triumph of light over darkness, drawing inspiration from the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
According to a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Francis Nwaze, the minister noted that the resurrection remains a powerful symbol of faith, new beginnings, and hope, particularly in times of national challenges.
“At this point in our national journey, these values matter deeply,” Umahi said, calling on Nigerians to embrace unity over division, love over apathy, and faith over fear.
He urged citizens to remain steadfast and supportive of one another while working collectively toward building a nation that reflects shared aspirations for peace, progress, and prosperity.
The minister concluded by wishing Christian faithful a joyful Easter celebration, expressing hope that the spirit of the season would bring peace, renewed strength, and a brighter future for Nigeria.
