The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his 74th birthday, describing him as a courageous leader whose clarity of purpose continues to steer Nigeria through a period of reform and national renewal.

In a statement issued on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, the minister said the milestone presents an opportunity for Nigerians to celebrate a life devoted to public service and transformational leadership.

Idris noted that President Tinubu’s willingness to take difficult but necessary decisions for the long-term stability of the country has placed Nigeria on a path toward recovery and sustainable growth.

“This is a moment to celebrate a leader whose courage and clarity of purpose continue to guide Nigeria through a period of important reform and national renewal. Your commitment to making tough decisions for long-term stability has put the country on a path of recovery and growth,” the minister said.

He added that the president’s emphasis on transparency, responsible communication and national unity has continued to shape the work of the ministry and its agencies.

According to Idris, the administration’s renewed focus on strategic communication, public engagement and the fight against misinformation demonstrates President Tinubu’s understanding of the importance of trust and accurate information in governance.

“At the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, your emphasis on transparency, responsible communication and national unity continues to guide our work. The renewed focus on strategic communication, public engagement and the fight against misinformation reflects your understanding that trust and accurate information are essential to governance,” he stated.

The minister further acknowledged the president’s dedication to building a nation that works for all citizens, while offering prayers for continued strength, good health and wisdom for the Nigerian leader.

“As you mark this special day, we acknowledge your service to the nation and your dedication to building a country that works for all Nigerians. We pray that God grants you continued strength, good health and wisdom as you lead the nation toward greater progress and stability,” Idris added.
