The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), operating under Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), has sustained its offensive against terrorism with a successful air interdiction mission that targeted a major terrorist stronghold and training camp in Bukar Meram, located on the southern flank of the Lake Chad region in Borno State.
According to an official signed statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operation was conducted on 9 June 2025 following credible intelligence reports. The air strikes resulted in the neutralization of several terrorists and the destruction of critical logistics infrastructure, including supply vehicles, weapons storage facilities, and makeshift shelters.
The statement further revealed that a Battle Damage Assessment confirmed the strike significantly disrupted an imminent terrorist threat to the communities of Marte and Monguno. The operation reinforced NAF’s proactive stance in neutralizing hostile threats and protecting civilian populations in vulnerable regions.
“The Nigerian Air Force remains resolute in its mandate to protect the sovereignty of the nation and ensure lasting peace and security across the Northeast and beyond,” the statement added.
