The Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, has successfully graduated 50 officers from Junior Course 21 after completing an intensive three-month training programme aimed at enhancing middle-level management capacity across the Service.

The graduation activities began with a regimental dinner held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, and culminated in the formal graduation ceremony on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the College’s Ahmad Makarfi Hall.

The Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, was represented at both events by Deputy Comptroller-General (DCG) Suleiman Chiroma, who oversees the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).

Addressing the graduates, DCG Chiroma commended their dedication and perseverance, urging them to uphold the core values of discipline, professionalism, and integrity.

“The College has equipped you with the requisite knowledge for higher staff and command responsibilities,” he stated. “You are now better prepared to contribute meaningfully to the strategic objectives of the Service and the nation.”

The Commandant of the College, Assistant Comptroller-General (ACG) Oluyomi Adebakin, also congratulated the officers and reminded them of the importance of professionalism.

“The Nigeria Customs Service has invested significantly in your development. The College has zero tolerance for indiscipline, and mediocrity will not be celebrated,” she said.

During the ceremony, certificates were presented and the Passed Junior Staff Course (PJSC) qualification was conferred on the graduates. The officers expressed appreciation for the training, which they described as impactful and career-enhancing.

The newly graduated officers are expected to take on key roles in furthering the Customs Service’s mandate across commands and formations nationwide.
