Charity Begins Within: CP Shetima Presents N3 Million to Families of Fallen Police Officers, Urges Prudent Use

As part of demonstrating his commitment to the welfare of the families of fallen police officers, 

the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, through the Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, psc, mnips, has donated the sum of one million naira each to the families of three police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty on December 29, 2024, at Garaku, Kokona Local Government Area of the state.

SP Ramhan Nansel, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO in an official signed statement disclosed that the gesture, aimed at cushioning the impact of the tragic loss, underscores the state government’s commitment to the welfare of security personnel and their families. CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, while presenting the cash donations, expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and to the Inspector-General of Police. He encouraged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds in catering for their families and improving their well-being.

The Commissioner commended the Governor for his unwavering support, compassion, and service to humanity, noting that such acts of generosity go a long way in boosting the morale of officers serving in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Sadiq Khadijat expressed profound gratitude to Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for the kind gesture and assured that the funds would be used wisely.
