The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC, Mr. Olanipekun Olukoyede has called on staff of the Commission to continue on the paths of professionalism, integrity and courage in order to keep faith with the fight against economic and financial crimes and other acts of corruption. .

A statement signed and made available to journalists by the commission’s spokesperson Dele Oyewale disclosed that he made the call in Uyo, Akwa –Ibom State  on Wednesday March 12, 2025, while on a working visit to the Uyo Zonal Directorate of the Commission.

According to him, the anti-graft works of the EFCC required great sacrifice and staff of the Commission should be ready at all times to give their all in their services to the nation.

“This job is about sacrifice and we are all sacrificing to ensure that the end-goal is met. Don’t focus on what you will get and compromise your integrity. Even if you have nothing and you have integrity, you have everything”, he said.

He appreciated the staff for their hard work and focus, stressing that the Commission’s achievements in 2024 remain the highest so far in the history of the EFCC.

On arrival, he inspected a guard of honour and engaged staff on sundry issues pertaining to their productivity and welfare, assuring that their efforts would always be rewarded.

He also paid courtesy visits to major stakeholders in the anti-corruption fight in the Uyo environment.
