The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has addressed an incident involving its personnel and some civilians in Kaduna State. The incident, which occurred recently, at Unguwan Gangare, Barakallahu, has generated concern and attention.

A statement signed and made available to defence correspondents, Thursday 27th February by the Director Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshal Olusola F Akinboyewa states that; The unfortunate incident resulted in injuries to some individuals, who are currently receiving medical care at the 461 NAF Hospital.

He further added that the NAF deeply regrets the loss of a life and have reached out to the family of the deceased to express their condolences and also assure them of a thorough investigation and justice.

AVM Olusola reiterated that the NAF remains a highly disciplined and professional force committed to upholding the highest standards of conduct in all engagements.

While urging members of the public to remain calm as they work diligently to ascertain the facts and ensure that appropriate actions are taken, he also stated that in line with the NAF’s commitment to justice and accountability, a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is already underway and any personnel found culpable will face the full weight of the law.

The NAF remains steadfast in its duty to protect and serve the Nigerian people while maintaining the trust and confidence of our host communities.
