The Military Pensions Board (MPB) has announced the payment of October 2026 pensions to military retirees, confirming that the disbursement reflects the full implementation of the consequential adjustment arising from the 30, 50 and 80 per cent salary increases approved for military personnel.

The Board also disclosed that arrears for September 2026 would be paid shortly.

According to an official statement signed by Squadron Leader Aliyu Mohammed on behalf of the Chairman of the Military Pensions Board, the October pensions had been paid into the respective bank accounts of military pensioners.

The Board said the payment incorporated the consequential adjustment of the new salary increase as directed by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

It assured military retirees that the outstanding September arrears would be settled shortly, reaffirming its commitment to prioritising the welfare of retired military personnel and ensuring the prompt payment of their entitled benefits.

As part of efforts to improve communication and service delivery, the Board announced dedicated telephone lines for inquiries, complaints and feedback from veterans, next-of-kin and members of the public.

The designated telephone numbers are 07074000034, 07074000037 and 07074000038. The Board also provided the email address info@mpb.mil.ng for enquiries and other correspondence.

The MPB assured veterans, their next-of-kin and members of the public that calls, text messages and WhatsApp messages sent through the dedicated lines would receive prompt attention.

The Board reiterated its commitment to the welfare of military retirees and the timely disbursement of their pension benefits.
