The Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) has engaged the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on strengthening institutional collaboration to promote transparency, accountability and good governance in Nigeria.
The engagement took place during an advocacy visit to the CAC headquarters in Abuja, where CISLAC Executive Director and Head of Transparency International Nigeria, Auwal Ibrahim Musa Rafsanjani, presented the organisation’s publications to the Registrar-General and Chief Executive Officer of CAC, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN.
The visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to exchange advocacy resources, promote institutional dialogue and explore areas of collaboration towards strengthening accountability mechanisms and advancing responsible governance.
CISLAC said the engagement formed part of its sustained efforts to build constructive partnerships with public institutions and promote transparency and accountability in the country’s governance system.
The organisation reiterated its commitment to working with relevant government institutions to strengthen accountability frameworks and encourage responsible public administration.
The engagement underscores the importance of collaboration between civil society organisations and public institutions in promoting openness, institutional effectiveness and good governance in Nigeria.
